A Story Worth Telling

Dear Friends,

If we have your home mailing address then you’ve already been receiving the 4-page, color newsletters that we’ve been putting out each Spring and Fall. It is chock full of updates and pictures of our work in Haiti. If you haven’t been receiving them, send us your mailing address and we’ll make sure you start getting them.

But two times a year is not enough! It’s nearly impossible to pack six months of progress and pictures and stories into one newsletter. Plus that, we have lots of folks on our email mailing list that are left out of the loop on the very cool things that are going on with Starfysh these days.

So we have decided to start sending out much more frequent updates by email, starting with this one. These updates won’t contain the volume or the fanciness of our 4-page print newsletters. They’ll be concise and newsy and timely. We’ll still send out “Starfysh News,” and we’ll still post on Facebook, but in terms of keeping up to date with what’s going on, email will be a lot better. Email updates are easily shared by forwarding them or printing them off. Or you can just read them and delete them. Easy peasy. No muss, no fuss.

Another advantage of email is how immediately connected and responsive it allows us all to be. If there is an urgent need or concern, we can put it out there right away and let the power of numbers go to work in praying for and responding to the need. Plus, we can without hesitation send out some fun stuff, like stories  or pictures)… because email is free. And, well, free is good.

A real-life drama is being played out on a certain little Caribbean island. It’s a story worth telling.

Thanks. I’ll be touch!
